Fold Types

The fold style determines the number of panels and how the reader encounters your content. Sokkeli offers three standard types:

Half Fold

The half fold divides the sheet in two – the result is a clean, four-page booklet. Straightforward, symmetrical, and easy to read. Works well for company introductions, event programmes, invitations, and price lists. Suits both minimal and image-heavy designs.

Z-Fold

The Z-fold alternates fold directions so the brochure opens accordion-style. Six panels, with content that unfolds step by step. A popular choice for product guides and instructions – and an effective reveal piece in direct mail or at events.

G-Fold

In the G-fold, two outer panels fold inward to meet in the middle, opening like a gate. Inside, a wide spread opens up for large images or detailed content. A strong choice for premium products and property presentations when the first impression needs to stop the reader.

Materials and Finishing

Paper and finishing determine how the brochure feels in the reader’s hands. Sokkeli offers options to suit different needs and budgets.

A3 and smaller:

• Materials: semi-matte, matte and silk
• Weight: 80–400 g/m²
• Finishing: creasing, lamination, foiling,rounded corners, glossy toner, additional white colour

650 × 320 mm and smaller:

• Materials: silk and matte
• Standard weights: silk 170 g/m², matte 250 g/m²
• Finishing: creasing, lamination, foiling, rounded corners, glossy toner, additional white colour

Lighter weights (80–130 g/m²) suit high-volume distribution. Heavier stocks (200–400 g/m²) give the brochure a solid feel – good for client presentations and situations where the material itself signals quality. Lamination protects against fingerprints and wear, and is worth considering for brochures that will be handled frequently or kept on display.

For custom sizes, special materials, or larger quantities, send us a quote request. Tell us the fold type, paper weight, quantity, and any finishing requirements – and attach your file or a rough layout if you have one. We’ll get back to you the same day or the next working day.
